Recycling and Upcycling Projects
Seeing the amount of building materials and pallets thrown into skips on a building project can be mind blowing. I do my very best to reuse and recycle discarded items and turn them into unique pieces. From pallet furniture to chopping boards, scaffolding shelving to copper candlesticks. Below are some of the bespoke designs I have come up with while reusing and re-purposing materials.
Reusing old copper pipe where possible, I create decorative and practical designs. Soldered to give that industrial feel, then cleaned and coated in a clear lacquer for durability. I have been comissioned to create designs for births and milestone anniversaries and Birthdays. The cost depends on size and complexity of design.
Re-using pallets and wood off cuts, I design and make bespoke, functional and industrial style furniture. It all depends on what bits and pieces are available at the time, but there is no end of materials to be recycled.
Upcycled creations: Imperfectly functional
Many of the materials are imperfect or seen as surplus to requirements, to make furniture out of these materials which are sometimes twisted and bowed makes these projects much more satisfying. From slightly imperfect, to perfectly functional.
